Calming the beast that lies within
Hello lovely people
Today I wanted to share something close to my heart, which I believe many will relate to.
It’s been a year since the first wave of covid, and the restrictions started popping up all over the world. During that time, a lot was happening, and one part of the regulations that put me in a negative state was gym closures.
Now, I know many people think that this is the last thing you would even complain about — BUT let me say, that being part of a health-conscious community, and being physically active daily, is not just for vanity’s sake.
I believe many of us suffer silently inside ourselves, and the only outlet we have is exercise. It makes us feel good, look good, and it’s possibly the one time where we forget our problems, our challenges and anything else that’s hurting us. For some, it can be running, bike riding, or weight training. For others, it’s yoga, pilates or meditation. Each of us experiences some spiritual peace when we make this activity part of our lives.
Little did I realise just how damaging the impact was for me, and all the health and well-being challenges resulting from not exercising. As they say, you don’t know what you got until it’s gone. Good health is something you don’t want to lose your grip on!
