It does sound like they are carb heavy, and it can be quite difficult when this is the case.
Are you able to supplement some of the carbs with protein, such as eggs or chicken? I'm not sure if you are a vegetarian or vegan.
What you could do is carb cycle. Use your carb days for when you work out really hard. Make them a moderate or low amount, and then go completely carb free (just your veggies) when you are doing low or moderate training.
