What kind of training did you do in conjunction with healthy eating?
The best way to do hill sprints is on a treadmill, or run up stairs. That will definitely do the trick.
Back in my competitive days, we were advised against using machines - but when it's raining outside, and you don't have an option, I believe it's just as good.
