I see your point here because I touch on many things in this post.
I can't relate to exercise because the research didn't address this. But one thing that helps is using your natural circadian rhythm when it comes to fasting.
One thing I didn't mention here is that I tried fasting long ago and had to stop because it wasn't working for me.
So when I was struggling to lose weight about four years ago, I tried fasting again but in reverse. In other words, instead of skipping breakfast, I skipped dinner.
That worked very well for me. This is based on my circadian rhythm. Using this method and watching my nutritional intake and weight training was key.
Sorry, this is so long, but the circadian rhythm makes all the difference—adapting to your body clock, in other words. I hope this makes more sense and is less misleading. :)
