The Spike That Came Out Of No Where — By Trying These 4 Things.

Today I decided to write a little journal entry for anyone interested in following the ever-changing flow of Medium.

I will share some insights that might help you along your path.

This month has been a bit of a struggle when I compared the month of August and September. Things seemed to decline in October.

I thought perhaps it was the topics I chose, or maybe the style of writing I used. I was at a bit of a loss — even though I shouldn’t complain at all. I’m forever grateful.

But you know when you get to a certain level, you want to keep climbing the ladder of success? I’m that kind of person, and I’m pretty competitive with myself.

Here is the spike that just occurred.

Because I’m pretty new to Medium and its power, I haven’t researched why the results took a turn — but I knew It was a result of a few changes.

Here are a few things I did — to change up my content strategy.

Trend one: Short and sharp posts

There is a trend happening on Medium, which drew me in.

It’s the art of writing short and sharp posts.

I like this concept as I’m a time-poor mum working full time in a demanding job. I don’t always have time to read or write a lot of content. I love reading tips that might help me in some way.

These tiny nuggets of info help to supercharge your life.

We all want things done faster and as easy as possible — so give that to the audience.
